Web Conferencing Gets Boost from BrightCom HD Telepresence
BrightCom, a company which specializes in creating flexible and affordable video and telepresence conferencing solutions, has announced a new offering of ClearView HD Desktop Video Conferencing solutions.
BrightCom offers a wide range of options with Lumina Telepresence and ClearView Video Conferencing to connect people and content from home offices, mobile devices, desktops or conference rooms.
The new HD video conferencing system includes on-board H.264 video encoding, built in acoustic echo cancellation, array microphone and HD clarity. The system is being demonstrated in a video you may find on YouTube and is being offered with a 75 percent discount.
While BrightCom offers a wide range of telepresence and video conferencing endpoints for the home and conference room, the new ClearView Desktop HD provides a USB based camera. The camera contains the necessary power for high definition communication and hands-free audio.
Additionally, ClearView Desktop HD’s H.264 on-board video encoding offloads the amount of processing power a PC needs to utilize when using a video encoding card. When you watch their BrightCom YouTube video, you will see that communication is simple, fast and clear.
Upon its initial November 2010 release, BrightCom has reduced their cost even further for this product. The current reduction in price provides an even greater gap among industry players where they had initially already offered it for $500.00 less than other competitors such as Cisco’s UMI and LifeSize’s Passport.
The ClearView Desktop HD system can easily work with many conferencing systems. However, with BrightCom’s Visual Collaboration System it further enhances the offering with integrated HD video and data conferencing. This allows its users to edit and share a wide variety of media including documents, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and PDFs. The new telepresence provides a full set of new web conferencing capabilities.
