Streaming Media Inventor Appointed EVP at Fuze Box

Fuze Box, a mobile and Internet solutions provider, has appointed Dr. Alan Lippman as its EVP of Media Technology.  This is exciting news for Fuze Box and its web conferencing platform. Alan Lippman is a streaming media expert and is considered to be one of the founding fathers of streaming audio/video and digital media hub technologies.
Fuze plans on using Lippman to take video collaboration to the next level. The company is looking to enhance video-based experiences for its users and increase their web conferencing capabilities.  CEO of Fuze Box, Jeff Cavins explains: “We are excited that the timely appointment of Dr. Lippman will further solidify the company’s presence in the online collaboration space as Fuze Box approaches the cusp of unprecedented advances in the video-based experiences.”
Lippman received his BSM in Mathematics from the University of Washington at the age of 14, and graduated four years later with a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Brown.  He was a key architect of RealAudio and RealVideo, both of which are still downloaded millions of times per week. These are only a few of Lippman’s accomplishments. Needless to say, we’re excited to see what new innovations Lippman and Fuze will produce.
Lippman’s expertise will also be focused on enhancing video capabilities across web and mobile devices. The new EVP and his team will work on solutions for high definition video management and distribution.
Fuze Box’s current video conferencing solution, Fuze Meeting has already made a splash in web conferencing world. Fuze Meeting has desktop sharing capabilities, HD content, simple collaboration tools and an easy-to-use interface. With Lippman’s assistance, we’re excited to see what lies ahead for Fuze Meeting and the lot of Fuze Box products.
