InterCall Launches “Video-On-Demand” Service

InView Renamed InterCall Video Conferencing, Strengthening Worldâ??s Premier Brand in Collaboration Services

CHICAGO (February 25, 2008) –

InterCall, the world’s largest provider of conferencing and collaboration services, today announced the industry’s first truly Reservationless Video Conferencing service. While other providers offer ad hoc or automated last minute scheduling, InterCall’s PIN and Conference Code based video service mirrors the same steps users take to start a Reservationless Audio Conference. No reservation is necessary so users truly have a video-on-demand experience.

InterCall is already a leader in video conferencing, with more traditional operator-assisted video services, as well as video-enabled Web conferencing services, including InterCall Web Meeting(TM), Microsoft Live Meeting(TM) and WebEx(TM). “Web conferencing solutions provide user-level service and operator-assisted video conferencing coordinates previously scheduled meetings. We saw a need for a boardroom offering that truly gives executives the ability to instantly start a video conference,” said Bob Wise, vice president of marketing and strategic development, InterCall.

“As business continues to move at a faster pace, the use of “instant-on” collaboration services will also continue to grow,” added Wise. In fact, the global conferencing market grew 15.9% to become a $1.08 billion industry in 2007, according to Wainhouse Research. “Because there is so much power in face-to-face communication, we anticipate that reservationless video conferencing will help lead our industry into a new era of growth.”

Warren Baxley, senior director of product management and development, InterCall, added, “The introduction of Reservationless Audio Conferencing was a seminal event in the growth the conferencing industry. It changed the way workers worked. We’ve now made video conferencing as easy to use as Reservationless audio. We feel strongly that Reservationless Video Conferencing will have a similar impact on the industry.”

Additionally, InterCall is renaming its InView Video Conferencing to InterCall Video Conferencing, to align all products with the InterCall brand. Concluded Wise, “The renaming of InView to InterCall Video Conferencing is the natural extension of our brand. Customers now have one name for all their conferencing needs.” Through this announcement, InterCall has now taken another step towards the pending launch of its Unified Communications service by becoming a full service provider of on-demand collaboration technologies.

Through partnerships with Polycom and Tandberg, InterCall also supplies leading video conferencing equipment. For businesses without video conferencing facilities, InterCall provides access to over 9,000 rental rooms.
