InterCall and Brainshark Inject New Life Into Old Meetings

In recent years the web conference archive has helped business people record Web conferences for participants who could not attend the live session

CHICAGO (October 25, 2006) –

In recent years the web conference archive has helped business people record Web conferences for participants who could not attend the live session. But when business moves quickly the archived presentations are soon obsolete. InterCall and Brainshark have teamed up to give their customers an easy option to edit their “on-demand” archived content and keep the presentation timely and relevant.

“Conferencing users expect their services to be reliable and easy-to-use because they need to work efficiently,” said Bob Wise, vice president of marketing and strategic development for Chicago-based InterCall. “Part of being efficient is changing only what needs to be changed instead of going back to square one.”

InterCall customers can use the Brainshark services to create new presentations or edit Microsoft Office Live Meeting archives. Presenters add their recorded voice through their telephone and create visuals using familiar tools like PowerPoint. Re-recording the voiceover is also easy, giving new life to old presentations.

Brainshark makes the recorded session interactive, even if the participants are viewing it on their own time, by offering up polling questions and enabling participants to send questions back to the presenter. Tracking and reporting capabilities show who has viewed the session, how much of the slides and audio they viewed, and responses to polls and other questions.

The service is ideal for product launches and marketing presentations, such as those delivered to doctors by pharmaceutical companies, when coordinating live schedules isn’t feasible.

“Using live web conferencing in conjunction with Brainshark’s on demand delivery is a one-two punch for effective communications,” said Joe Gustafson, CEO of Brainshark, Inc., “we’re excited to be working with InterCall to provide their customers with a newly defined experience for on-demand archive viewing and a way to ensure that the information they are communicating to their audiences is always timely and accurate.”
