PHOENIX, Ariz. (September 27, 2007) –
iLinc Communications, Inc. (AMEX:ILC), a leading developer of Web conferencing software, announced today that it will participate in the Wedbush Morgan Securities Converged Communications Round Table at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Francisco on October 3, 2007. This is an opportunity for senior management from leading telecommunications companies to discuss key sector and capital markets topics.
“We are pleased to participate in this round-table forum with our peers in the collaboration and converged communications sector,” said James M. Powers, Jr., iLinc’s President and CEO. “We are taking steps to assure our role as a key player in the growing Unified Communications (UC) sector leveraging the strength of our enterprise-class software and our ability to integrate with our partners’ communication products.”
Continued Dr. Powers, “We hope that many take note of the recent Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications, 20071 report, which indicated that ‘Unified Communications offer the ability to significantly improve how individuals, groups and companies interact and perform, and we share that view. Like many industry analysts, we believe that Unified Communication has the potential to add value to existing communication methods and systems, often from disparate providers.”
Industry analysts indicate that Unified Communication systems include four key components; telecommunications (i.e., IP-PBX and VoIP), videoconferencing, unified messaging (email, voicemail and instant messaging), and Web conferencing. In addition to iLinc’s existing direct sales strategy and ongoing indirect sales activities, iLinc has embarked on an indirect distribution and partnership strategy that positions iLinc as a key provider of critical Web conferencing software for those engaged in a UC strategy.
“We see use of our award-winning software on an OEM basis as a key component to the announced Unified Communications strategies of prominent IP-PBX, video conferencing and unified messaging providers. We hope to mature and be able to announce those new OEM distribution agreements within this fiscal year,” concluded Dr. Powers.
