BEA Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAS), a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, today announced that InterCall, the world’s largest conferencing service provider, has successfully deployed their IP-based, next-generation conferencing product on BEA WebLogic® SIP Server and BEA WebLogic Portal®. InterCall uses BEA technology to process millions of conferencing minutes per month and to create customized solutions for a majority of today’s Fortune 1000 companies.

With BEA WebLogic SIP Server at the application layer of their architecture, InterCall built a conferencing platform that is less expensive and more agile than any available off-the-shelf solutions. Through the standardization and ease of integration provided by BEA WebLogic SIP Server, InterCall reduced by one-third the time needed to develop new audio, video and web conferencing services. Additionally, the components-based structure of BEA WebLogic SIP Server is enabling InterCall to create customized call-flow applications with features such as a welcome greeting and hold music that can be tailored to individual customers.
