Sonexis Technology, a provider of enterprise premise based audio and Web conferencing platforms, announced recently that it has been selected by ShoreTel,, a provider of Unified Communication solutions and IP architecture, to be an Alliance member in the ShoreTel Innovation Network. Sonexis remarked in the press release that it was “proud to continue its relationship with ShoreTel as an Alliance member in the ShoreTel Innovation Network.”

The ShoreTel Innovation Network is a collaborative community of technology companies developing extensions consisting of  hardware, software, or services based on ShoreTel’s open architecture. The network conducts collaborative marketing to increase awareness of members’ development efforts and products.

Sonexis offers its ConferenceManager software as an extending product for the ShoreTel communications architecture. The software provides a rich media collaboration solution for enterprisees looking to implement a secured and cheaper alternative to traditional pay per minute audio and Web conferencing. These traditional systems are rapidly being replaced by the growing use of VoIP protocols to reduce costs.  The company reports that its customers “…derive significant cost savings over traditional conferencing service providers, and benefit from enhanced security, functionality, and reporting features that are inherent in the platform.” VoIP is a cheaper method of communications because calls are transmitted as data over Internet connections instead of regular phone lines.

Dan Watkins, the executive vice president of Sonexis, commented on the company’s solution and its membership contribution to the ShoreTel Innovation Network:
