PresenterNet Announces Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Applications
03/15/2006
Capistrano Beach, CA-PresenterNet (www.presenternet.com), provider of online interactive Web presentation applications, today introduced Web conferencing technology to support compliance with accounting information management requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
In a report entitled “Web Conferencing Capabilities for Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance” the company describes PresenterNet capabilities that ensure capture and storage of accounting information presented in its Web conferences.
The PresenterNet application for this environment permanently stores and attaches time and date stamping to all conferencing content. The system logs all presenters and audience members, then logs each piece of content presented in a session.
An archived report then ensures that the information presented cannot be altered, and provides a permanent record of precisely what was presented, who presented it, and who attended to view it.
In announcing the application, CEO Doug Wolfgram explained that PresenterNet’s unique architecture is perfectly suited for providing these capabilities. “Unlike conventional peer-to-peer Web conferencing, our system converts all user media into a permanent format, and stores it in our servers. Our servers keep reliable records of the time and date of each uploaded document or slide, and associate it with every specific session, along with records of who presented and viewed it.”
Wolfgram added, “The ultimate result of this application is an archive that will enable users to establish detailed proof for every PresenterNet conference. We realize the importance of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for our corporate customers, and we’re pleased that we can meet their needs for presenting and protecting this vital data.”
