‘Out of Office’ But at Work: Citrix Online Launches Worldwide Workplace Council

Visionary group of thought leaders to analyze state of Web Commuting, predict business and work/life trends and recommend best practices

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – May 6, 2009 – Citrix Online,a division of Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), today announced the launch of the Worldwide Workplace Council, an elite group of thought leaders and advocates drawn from a wide range of areas affected by the growth of the location-independent workplace. In this evolving business environment, the Council will foster multiple points of view, advocate changes to traditional business models, and develop broad-based recommendations around the concept of Web Commuting.

“As companies and individuals alike find they can work from anywhere, anytime, it will potentially affect every aspect of the work/life balance, along with the companies’ ability to slash costs and hire from anywhere,” said Brett Caine, general manager, Citrix Online. “Citrix Online has been at the forefront in enabling this workplace evolution–we call it Web Commuting–with technologies for online collaboration and remote access, and that’s given us a unique perspective on this issue. Our vision for the Worldwide Workplace Council is to help inform and empower organizations and individuals looking to embrace the new realities of working from anywhere.”
