On Tuesday, Cisco announced that ICC London ExCeL, an international convention center, chose Cisco to provide network-based technologies to enhance the experience for the center’s audience. Cisco’s products will enable the ICC London ExCeL to provide interactive collaboration services so that attendees will be more involved in the events. This will increase customer satisfaction and overall revenue for the venue’s exhibitors.

ICC London ExCeL will use Cisco’s network as the platform. Many new features will be brought to the center, including web conferencing, video collaboration, and digital signage. Exhibitors will be able to reach their audiences in a whole new way with this innovative Cisco technology. This will increase return on investment (ROI) and the quality of exhibitor-to-customer interactions.

ICC London ExCeL deployed a network within their entire venue with Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches, an integrated collaboration solution. This will support wireless local area network (WLAN), voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), data, and IPTV services. High definition video and mobility will also be supported by the Cisco network. Exhibitors will be able to reach out to people all around the world, without them having to attend the convention center, through the Cisco TelePresence collaboration solution. This addition of Cisco technologies to the convention center will also reduce logistical overheads.

Cisco will even be holding Cisco Live! At the ICC London ExCeL venue. This annual Cisco event for European Internet Technology, networking, and communication technology will go on from Jan. 31, 2011 to Feb. 3, 2011.
