BUSINESS OBJECTS AND WEBEX JOIN FORCES TO BRING BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE TO THE WEBEX CONNECT COMMUNITY

Partnership Delivers Access to Critical Business Data to New Enterprise Mashup Platform WebEx Connect

SANTA CLARA, Calif., November 9, 2006—Business Objects (Nasdaq: BOBJ; Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250 – BOB), the world’s leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, and WebEx (Nasdaq: WEBX), the leading provider of collaborative software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications, today announced a partnership designed to bring the power of business intelligence (BI) to WebEx Connect users. The agreement, under which Business Objects has become a WebEx Connect Partner and WebEx has joined the Business Objects Technology Partner Program, will pave the way for knowledge workers to easily access and use critical business data from within the WebEx Connect application.

Announced in September 2006, WebEx Connect will improve productivity by combining context and collaboration. WebEx Connect will allow users to integrate data from multiple applications into a collaborative workspace custom designed for their particular workflow and business process. By leveraging open Web 2.0 protocols and collaborative WebEx APIs, WebEx Connect will make it easy to adapt on-demand, desktop, and enterprise applications to create composite, “mash up” applications. Together with industry leading BI solutions from Business Objects, joint customers can gain simplified access to business intelligence that is fully integrated with their everyday business applications.

By delivering timely and accurate information to customers, BusinessObjects and WebEx Connect will improve customers’ ability to make critical business decisions and improve performance. With this partnership, crystalreports.com, the leading on-demand report sharing service from Business Objects, will be available through WebEx Connect. Now the strength of crystalreports.com will be available for any “mash up” that customers create in the WebEx Connect environment.

“WebEx is driving innovation in workplace collaboration and how companies use and share information. Our partnership will make business intelligence more accessible to companies of all sizes, both in terms of cost and ease-of-use,” said Steve Lucas, vice president of strategic markets at Business Objects. “Joining forces with WebEx is yet another step Business Objects is making in its continued commitment to software-as-a-service. Not one of our competitors can match our momentum in making business intelligence available on-demand.”

“Business Objects is a visionary leader in business intelligence and has established itself as a driving force in delivering software-as-a-service,” said David Knight, vice president, WebEx Connect at WebEx. “WebEx Connect is the first solution designed specifically for the cross-company, collaborative way we work today. We see our partnership as an ideal way to revolutionize how companies leverage BI in the fast-paced, global economy.”

Availability
